The SicilyShortStay Cancellation Policy applies to Services and Property Bookings. These limit to Properties on Direct Booking and on request. The Host can choose cancellation and no-show policy for their listings. You can check these policies on each property page. For Properties and Services from Third Party sites, please refer to the Terms and Conditions of that Third-Party Site.
Cancellation must be sent by e-mail to . Cancellations made on the phone, live chat or other mediums are NOT valid. We also cannot accept cancellation notice through our social media accounts.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOOKING DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IN CASES OF CANCELLATION BY THE GUESTS
The Guest should secure travel documents required for their journey, passports, visa and other documentation. Failure to obtain such documents is the sole responsibility of the Guests. We are not liable for such failure. It shall not affect the cancellation policy of the site or the listing.
We advise our Guests to acquire travel and medical insurance.
SicilyShortStay Cancellation Policy
Aside from the standard cancellation policy of SicilyShortStay, the host or Service Providers and Third-Party websites may also choose to apply their policy for their property or services. You may read our Terms and Conditions for more details.
If they do not have their own Terms, our Hosts and Service Providers may choose any of these four cancellation policies and their required penalty. If there are any changes in the cancellation policy, we apply the previous policy when you made the booking.
CODE WHITE
The 10% booking deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
There is also an extra 5% of the penalty amount on top of the penalty; it serves as a transaction cost to charge the penalty and transfer the penalty payments to the Host. Us or the property hosts reserve the right to charge the penalty amount automatically through the Guests’ card. We collect the guest credit or debit card details in an SSL protected PCI Compliance Server. The credit card is as a guarantee in cases of cancellation. The Guests may request to use another penalty payment method. Please note it on the email you will send us to check if the hosts will agree.
- With less than 14 days notice before your arrival date: 50% of the total balance (amount due) is the penalty
- Less than 7 days to arrival date, 75% of the total balance is the penalty
- Less than 24 hours or no prior notice / No show: 100% of the total balance is the penalty
The penalty includes a percentage of applicable taxes and cleaning fee.

The applied terms of the cancellation policy are available during the booking process.
As soon as we received your cancellation notice through e-mail, we will inform the Host about it. We will charge the required penalty. If the credit card or debit card cannot be charged for the penalty and transaction cost for whatever reason, we require our Guests to provide another Payment Method to pay the penalty. The owed money should be settled within 15 days after the booking cancellation to Us or the Provider directly.
The booking is confirmed cancelled as soon as the Guest receives a confirmation of cancellation from us.
